Wildlife Trust BCN Update: June 2026

Launching Nature Girls!

The Wildlife Trust for Beds, Cambs, and Northants is pleased to announce the launch of a new social group in the Cambourne and Cambridge area, for all women who love wildlife and the outdoors to meet like-minded people.

This group focusses on easy-going socialising, with nature as a backdrop. You don’t need to know anything about wildlife to take part, you just need to be happy outdoors and interested in meeting people. Future activities will be steered by the group, but might include a walk around a nature reserve, nature journalling and/or sustainable crafts. The sessions are open to all women aged 18+.

Our launch event is on Saturday 8 August 9.30-12.30 where we will be strolling around the beautiful Cambourne Nature Reserve. This event is free (donations welcome) but there will be a small charge for future events. Booking is essential, so please see our events page wildlifebcn.org/events for more information, or email Rebecca.Neal@wildlifebcn.org

You can join the Facebook group: The Wildlife Trust’s Nature Girls to connect in with the wider network and find out about the new WhatsApp group.

The Wildlife Trust for Beds, Cambs, and Northants is a local wildlife conservation charity aiming to achieve bigger, better, and more joined up habitats for wildlife and people. We do this by working in partnership to conserve and enhance habitats and biodiversity, and through community work, helping people enjoy, understand, and take action for wildlife.
