Our Mothers' Union
In 1876 Mary Sumner formed a group to support mothers from all backgrounds in bringing up their children. This was the beginning of Our Mothers’ Union, from humble beginnings to a global organisation.
There will be many “150 years” celebrations. Our branch in Trumpington will be having a Celebration Picnic with invited guests on 25 June at 1.30pm in the garden at 75 Bishops Road. Our picnic will consist of a ploughman’s lunch and a pudding. Let us pray for a dry, sunny day.
At our meeting on 23 July Janet Whealer will be telling us more about the history of the David Parr House. We can’t wait to welcome her back and learn more.
Advance notice: our annual Coffee Morning will be held at 75 Bishops Road on 27 August at 10.30am. All friends and neighbours are very welcome. More information next time.
