TAG Lifts

TAG Lifts has been running for just over a year, and we have taken about 70 people from Trumpington and Grantchester to over 1200 health-related appointments. This is a much needed and hugely appreciated service for those who struggle to use public transport and have no access to a car.

Have you got a couple of hours to spare a month to take a neighbour to a health appointment? If so, please consider being a volunteer driver. You can do as little or as much as you can manage; no regular commitment is needed. Every little really does help!

What you get: insurance cover, 45p a mile for petrol, the pleasure of helping a neighbour, and getting to know new people locally, and being part of a friendly team of volunteers.

We are also looking for one more coordinator, to cover one week in six, taking calls and arranging lifts. You get to talk to all kinds of people and it’s a lot of fun!
