Trumpington Scouts

1st Trumpington Scout Group.

We are your local Scout Group providing Scouting to around 125 young people every week during term time. We have one Beaver Colony, two Cub Packs and two Scout Troops and offer volunteering opportunities for the Duke of Edinburgh award.

We run a full programme of activities including bowling, camps, campfires, creative activities, engineering challenges, first aid, hiking, kayaking, sewing, and lots of badges. Around 90 young people went on camp for at least one night last year, and some up to 10 nights! Planning is in full swing for this year’s camps.

Our waiting list is currently shorter than it has been, so please be in touch if you would like to add your child. We give priority places to young people whose parents volunteer with us.

We are currently looking for new leaders, particularly for Cubs, and for a new co-Treasurer. Please contact Deb Thomas, Group Lead Volunteer, at deb@1sttrumpingtonscouts.org.uk if you can help.

Previous Scouting experience is not needed, nor is having a child in the Group. Volunteers aged 18 or over are subject to a DBS check.
