The Clay Farm Centre

It’s a busy time at Clay Farm and we’re open as usual whilst work is underway to the exterior of our building. We are pleased to say that this project is on track and is expected to be completed around June.

In the Easter holidays we’re putting on two different events: on Wednesday 1 April we’re showing Wonka and on Tuesday 7 April it’s a free holiday lunch event. Crafts, Lego and soft play will be available in the hall from 10.30am and at 12pm Cambridge Sustainable Food will be providing a nutritious lunch.

We’re also getting ready for the Summer Reading Challenge - this year’s theme is Read to the Beat! and will combine the power of music with the joy of reading. Our team is making plans to visit local schools to share how children can take part; information will also be available in the library.

We’re also looking for young volunteers aged 12 and over who’d like to help us out with the Challenge - signing up children and listening to them talk about the books they’ve been reading. You can pick up volunteer info packs from the Clay Farm Centre reception desk soon.
